School district closed Fridays for summer
The Woodland Joint Unified School District will be closed on Fridays during the summer to save money.
Employees will work a four-day, 10-hour schedule to save an estimated 15 percent in energy and fuel costs, officials said.
The district office, 435 Sixth St., is open to the public from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday until Aug. 1.
Summer programs at school sites also will be on four-day schedule.
